It’s too late
Yesterday is gone
It happened late last night
She’d only had a few drinks
She thought it would be okay
Now she realizes it wasn’t
She searches for the words
Looks deep inside
Wonders how she’s going to tell them
If she ever can
She knows now that she should have listened
Should have just let him drive
She wonders why she is even alive
Her three best friends are dead
Because of her, they’re never coming back
The pain cuts deep down
She realizes what she has to do
She needs to be with them
She reaches for the knife
Places it on her wrist
There is no pain
Only every good memory in her life
Then their faces
“Welcome Home.”
