WITHIN US ALL

Author: Robert Bedard

Poem:
WITHIN US ALL

The world so cold, so lost within us,
have not the fear within, only grows in us.
Dread not the pain, I suffer from lost memories,
only bleed them, to fill thy hands which holds them.
Broken like a shattered crystal ball,
I throw it in the air to create one missile.
My heart will never be one again,
the powers of forgetfullness will only rebute them
Crashing down I think of all the thoughts,
that I will never repress every which way I cross.
I kneel down before you, to beg, to plead,
my hands will only crush my pain, I'll leave.
I forgive, I forget, I have only lost my soul,
the one I have given up for you, my whole.
Time will come, I'll feel your wrath,
the wrath I hold inside will not last.
Yet I will die inside, only to be alone, with no class,
I have given up, that is your choice, my wrath, your past.

DARK POEM

Author: Michael Appling

Poem: DARK POEM

I can no longer hear in my memory ear,
forgotten monsters bleeding on the lobby floor.
Nothing’s left to describe this destitute,
passive aggressive passion sprinting into Limbo.

My feet have been baked into this scarlet topsoil,
a misplanted seed among superior shrubs.
This dejected soul has been planted face down,
splintering pole digs into my dirt filled flesh.

Meandering menaces gleam with pride,
shit smelling rats feed on joyous morsels.
Snarling black bitches with endless bone supply,
viciously chasing reality squanderers.

Can no one stop this foul assassin?
sweet breath escapes through his mossy molars.
Ignorance deludes into persuasive wisdom,
capturing idiot souls who show no resistance.
