COPE WITH THIS CRUELTY

Author: Alexandra Nérette

Poem:
COPE WITH THIS CRUELTY

  Once upon a time,
There was a little girl who thought she wasnt worth a dime,
She felt as if she had no soul,
And would never be fulfilled or be whole.
She cried at night,
And hid when came light.
She told everyone she was well,
None of them knew she would soon be going to hell.
Then came a night when her wounds wouldn't seem to heal,
And she thought the pain was just to real.
She took a knife and started to cut, blood fell all over the floor,
Her heart felt like heavy closed door,
She layed in her bed,
Looking at her arms all red,
And told her self this was real life,
She could escape her problems with her knife.
Now everyday, to escape the pain,
She would make the blood rain,
Until one day when it hurt no more,
Her arms werent even sore.
Now she could not cope,
So she took a rope,
Stood on a chair,
Tied up her hair,
She could not take this cruelty,
That everyone called reality.
She heard a tap on the door,
Her mother saw her dead and fell to the floor,
She cried of anger,
Because her daugher was gone forever,
She hadn't noticed her little girl was dying,
And she didnt even bother helping.
She untied her daughter from her place,
And tried to listen to her heart maybe to hear a slow pace,
But nothing was to be heard,
This little girl was maybe now flying like a bird,
She had tooken away her life,
Because she had given up the fight.

TRUE CONFUSION

Author: Melissa Mcmanus

Poem: TRUE CONFUSION

We have no future or a past,
Because our love didn't last.
We are nobodies in this world.
You're not a boy, I'm not a girl.

We're just here to fill the space.
I don't believe in human race.
We're alienated by each other;
We live to kill one another.

What about this thing called love?
Hurting alone is quite enough.
We won't live, we won't die;
Life is the biggest lie.

There's no such thing as forever,
Only because we're not together.
We were one, now we're two;
Death will be my dream come true.
