Two Poems from our Nature Poetry Collection

Sea

Author: John O Connor

Poem:
Sea

I love your soul soothing ebb and flow

The way you creep in and then slowly go

I love the sight of your ever-changing face

Turning from swollen anger to calm grace

I love the way the evening sun shines on your black back

The way it dances, shimmers and then reflects back

I love the sound of your soft whisper and angry roar

As you carve and shape your path

From shore to shore

Cliff Edge

Author: John O Connor

Poem: Cliff Edge

On the cliff edge I stood

And felt understood

Rocks, sea and setting sun before me

I adore thee

Earth, Wind, Water and Fire

My soul you inspire

I require nothing more

Or nothing less

Than your earthly caress

Your life giving elements abound around me

Simply astound me
