Two Poems from our Nature Poetry Collection

Seen in the Sea

Author: Marigold Blackwood

Poem:
Seen in the Sea

Clear sunbright blue
with shade of jade
as water suspending you,
dolphin swimmer,
human-eyed with this love.
Featherlight glimmer
touching skin,
shafts from Helios
splashing through seaswim.
Your glinting eyes,
the watersun light,
dissolving our disguise.

The Eternal Now.

Author: Marigold Blackwood

Poem: The Eternal Now.

Being original to every moment of poetry;
the diamond glint of sun,
outlines of pale gold within plum
and thick greens; heaving trees
drinking, breathing, sodden end of rain.
Change of inner swirl, shifting
mood irrelevant; collapse, then lifting
to blue wreathe from red gash of pain.
Move along the forest path of the mind,
meander through pales and shades of shape,
photo image, thought, ‘scape,
leaf, trunk, pure form; to find
the distance of time spiralling
from ancient rock, with ochre hands
touching a vast eternity of lands;
to now, you, us, standing, breathing.
