Two Poems from our Sad, Grief, Sympathy, Broken Heart Poetry Collection

WHY LEAD AWAY

Author: Lee Emmett

Poem:
WHY LEAD AWAY

why lead away from nameless multitude
from the safety of a faceless crowd
pretending had something really special
in very short time felt marvellously proud
now in the harsh cold light of reality
find self back within meaningless throng
craving warm intimacy of love-cocoon
thrown away for raucous chorus-song
standing like peacock in their midst
coo and ruffle bright rainbow-feathers
pale winter sun cannot thaw heart
frozen now in all sorts of weathers

I Just Wish

Author: Ashli Grogg

Poem: I Just Wish

I just close my eyes.
And just want to cry.I see your face.
I see ur face.
Such a smiling face.
And I am surrounded by ur grace.
I just wish if only once I could see that face.
Everyday looking down at me.
I could see ur smile.
If only I wis just for a while.
Oh how I wish you know
HOw much Alex Burton I loved you.
Always will and still do
Oh how i just wish
