Two Poems from our Sad, Grief, Sympathy, Broken Heart Poetry Collection

Tears fell In Heaven

Author: Darryn Murphy

Poem:
Tears fell In Heaven

  Dedicated to my son Dylan

She had foretold of three beautiful sons
And how one would be angelic in nature, and was not to come
But how would I know this celestial knight
That was of my own bloodline, but not my right

One night in that chapel, when love turned dark
I turned to heavens and prayed with my heart
As I gave my life for another’s light
Angelic tears were shed that night

By light of the heavens and what I had done
I’d given the gift of my angelic son

Tears fell in heaven it broke my heart
To know that my son would forever part
But with that gift and with no cross to bare
Then the one that the light had come to declare

Dylan I know you are there
And that I never I had the chance
To show you how much I care
Son be praised in celestial flight
And bring to the world your beautiful light

Dilemma

Author: Gaurav Karkhanis

Poem: Dilemma

She's my best friend,
The kind that we hold close to our heart,
Someone you share everything with,
And confide in when u have wronged on your part!

I value her as a true friend,
Because she knows what friendship is,
She is simple and caring
Without any prejudices!

I didn’t realize it until one fine day,
Felt this unfamiliar pang in my heart,
I couldn’t relate it to anything,
To find what was tearing my mind apart!

And then with a blinding flash it became clear,
That I am in love with her,
Such was the euphoria within me,
Even the sky became shorter!

But then I understood that I was at a fork in the path,
I could tell her about my love and risk losing a friend,
Or I could keep my feelings to myself,
And have a pal until life's end!

All these choices were befuddling,
Making it seem that I would go mad,
I kept thinking about it day and night,
The more I thought the more I felt sad!

And then one day I decided to tell her,
Gathered up courage and made up my mind,
I went up to her,
With all my pent up feelings raging inside!

But before I could bare my heart before her,
She told me about her knight in shining armor,
I managed a smile and listened to her,
As she put an end to my "Dilemma"!
